I like cooking because it makes me happy, it's fun and it's a way of helping my mum.
I started cooking when I was five years old and found a passion for it. The first thing I made were strawberry custard tarts, I remember making a mess everywhere, but it was super fun.
When I'm cooking I think about eating the delicious food that I create and pretending to be a professional chef on a TV show. Some of the cooking TV shows I watch are Jamie Oliver's cooking shows and Masterchef, they are very interesting and educational.
This year my mum bought a Thermomix so I've been doing a lot of cooking with It. One time I cooked with my friends Jaz and Alice we attempted to make chocolate fondant cake, but it was a complete fail because we didn't follow the recipe correctly. I have learnt to be more careful with following the instructions, especially for baking, it is very important to get all the measurements right. The fondant still tasted delicious though.
1 teaspoon Butter
500g Free Range Chicken fillets cut into pieces
500g jar of Butter Chicken sauce
1 teaspoon Curry Powder
1 pinch White ground pepper
1 pinch of salt
1 head of broccoli (Any veggies are good too)
To start, put the butter in a large pot and brown it slightly then get your chicken fillet pieces and pop them in to brown too. Fry them for about 5 minutes then add in the seasonings (curry powder, white ground pepper and salt).
Once you've done that, pour the butter chicken sauce in the pot and stir it. Add the broccoli and any other veggies you like. Leave to cook on a low heat for about 20-30 minutes.
